Info Evening about Social Networking Tools for Teachers in Clare
Submitted Saturday, March 7, 2009 - 21:22ATiT is organising an information evening for teachers in the western Irish county of Clare on Social Networking Tools and Platforms in Education in conjunction with the Clare Education Centre on Thursday 7 May at 19.00. Teachers taking part can find out more about social networking software and how it is being used in schools throughout Europe. They will also be invited to discuss how tools like YouTube, Flickr, FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Bebo can be used to support teaching.
This event is part of the recently launched SoRuraLL project and will also be an an opportunity to find out more about the trials taking place in Clare during the 2009/2010 school year and how teachers in the region can get involved.

MEDEA AWARDS Launched to Recognise Excellence in the Use of Video in Education

The award will also recognise and promote excellence in the production and pedagogical design of media-rich learning resources. These materials will typically be delivered online via internet or virtual learning environment and used as an integral part of a programme of study. The award is open to anyone working with or in European education at all levels. We welcome participation from producers, teachers, academics, support staff and students. eLearning Africa workshop
Submitted Friday, March 30, 2007 - 08:33Together with the Kenya Institute of Education, the Nairobi University and BBC Worldwide Interactive Learning, ATiT is organising a workshop entitled “Producing and Publishing Media for Online Learning (part 1): The eLA Media Team Training Workshop” at the eLearning Africa conference. The workshop is intended for African participants only and takes place from the 28th till the 30th of May, 2007. Workshop participants will be guided by a team of experts while they actually try out what they have learnt during the two days of the eLearning Africa conference as they will form part of the conference media production team.
Citizen E teacher workshops

The new school year has got off to a great start for Citizen E with teacher workshops organised in Poland, Ireland and Italy for the teachers taking part in the 2005/2006 school year, more than 30 people taking part in the training session organised by WOM in Czestochowa on 27 September. The process of twinning the schools has already begun and project work between participating schools begins in October.

Citizen E Training course in Florence

Teachers from Belgium, Poland, Ireland and Italy took part in the Citizen E Training course organised by ATiT in the Pixel training centre in Florence from 13 to 18 June. During the 5 day training programme they covered different aspects of ICT use in the classroom, including collaborative platforms like the Citizen E platform, the use of different applications and how to make their own video materials.

ATiT hosted a lively Best Practice Seminar on Video Streaming in Europe in Leuven from 26 - 28 May in the context of the eSTREAM project which attracted over 40 participants from all over Europe.
Citizen E Teacher workshops in four European Countries

Between 7th and 14th March 2005 Citizen E teacher workshops took place in Italy, Poland, Belgium and Ireland. In total 63 teachers participated in the workshops. They received more information about the Citizen E project, learned how to use the Citizen E platform and exchanged ideas about possible twinning activities and action projects they could set up in the upcoming months.
