Launch of Large-Scale wiki on Virtual Campus

With more than 1200 content pages, the recently launched Re.ViCa wiki is probably one of the largest open resources on the topic of Virtual Campus available today. Developed by the Re.ViCa project team, this wiki contains information about programmes, initiatives and leading institutions as well as a rapidly growing series of country reports describing Virtual Campuses around the world. Visitors are welcome, if you would like to add to or augment the wiki, then all you have to do is register.

New eLearning Lab Launched with Focus on Usability

The Centre for Research and Innovation in Learning and Teaching in the National College of Ireland recently launched their new National E-Learning Laboratory (NELL).  This new facility for measuring User-Screen Interactions enables researchers to observe, record and analyse the behaviour of users interacting with e-learning resources. It will allow researchers to systematically explore and improve the use of learning and knowledge-based technologies. The laboratory consists of sophisticated hardware and software that can observe up to four participants simultaneously.It also has four analytical stations for researchers. User behaviour and screen interactions are investigated using combinations of video and audio recording, screen-capture, precision keyboard & mouse logging and eye tracking. Online Educa Berlin 2008: Call for Proposals!

The new web site for Online Educa Berlin 2008 has just been launched, visit the site to find out more abut the themes for this year's conference which takes place from 3-5 December. You can submit a proposal for a presentation, a pre-conference event, a discussion or debate, an expert session or a demonstration. Online Educa Berlin 2007: All Set for the Main eLearning Event of the Year!

All roads lead to Berlin on Wednesday 28th November for the annual Online Educa Berlin conference. With a packed agenda including several new elements, OEB07 looks set to break all previous records in terms of quality and participation. Poised to attract more than 2000 participants from 92 countries, its a good opportunity for us in ATiT to get togeher with old friends as well as meeting new people. ATiT joins the Re.ViCA Project

Together with partners from 7 different European countries ATiT launches the Re.ViCA Lifelong Learning Project that will look at virtual campus experiences across Europe. This project, chaired by Europace, will conclude in September 2009 with the publication of the Virtual Campus Manual aimed at regional, national and European political decision makers, advisors, government and administration, education authorities, e-learning industry, research community and Virtual Campus management.

Fe-ConE Conference Vilnius

Mathy Vanbuel was invited to participate in the Fe-ConE (Framework for eLearning Contents Evaluation)  conference in Vilnius (Latvia) on October 10th 2007. During the meeting Ms. Claire Belise, Mr. Graham Attwell and Dr. Minna Lakkala presented their views on intercultural issues in e-learning and e-content.
